Xbox 720 and PS4 to steal E3 thunder from Nintendo’s Wii U?
The rumours have finally come full circle with a source now hinting that we could see the PS4, Xbox 720 and the Nintendo Wii U all under one roof.
A source that has been described as ‘exemplary’ has revealed that apparently the Xbox 720 and PS4 will be revealed at E3 2012 thus shadowing efforts by Nintendo to steal the show with their Wii U console.
Talking to MCV the source claims to have knowledge on the matter from an ‘ultra high level’ which suggests that although we won’t see the Xbox 720 launch or indeed the PS4 release any time soon what we could see is a taster of what’s to come.
This would be the first time that three brand-new consoles would be being shown at a conference and would certainly come as a surprise to many after Sony’s CEO confirmed that there would be no PS4 launch in 2012.
That said this does ring true with the rumours that Microsoft has been informing its partners that it would indeed be showing off the future of Xbox at E3 2012.
Ben Parfitt, writer at MCV went to Twitter to personally vouch for the source saying that “Obviously we can’t reveal our sources. But you have my personal word on this – the source is exemplary, 100% concrete, ultra high level”
What do you think, will all three manufacturers be showing off their latest consoles this year? Let us know what you think via the T3 Twitter and Facebook feeds.
