Huawei Ascend P1 S: The World’s Slimmest Smartphone

Huawei has unveiled the world’s slimmest smartphone at CES 2012.

Measuring in at just 6.68mm thick and with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen, the Ascend P1 S cuts an impressive figure.

Looks aren’t the Ascend PS 1′s only strength, as Huawei’s latest device is also the fastest in its class with a dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

Huawei has also announced the Ascend P1, a slightly bulkier model with the same functionality and a 1670mAh/1800mAh battery.

Both models are available in metallic black, ceramic white and cherry-blossom pink and Huawei has promised there are more colours to come.

The range features an 8-megapixel BSI rear-facing and a 1.3-megapixel HD front-facing camera with dual flash LED and 1080p HD video recording, which is particularly impressive considering the size of the P1 S.

User content can be shared through the range’s 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and in-built social media capabilities.

The Huawei P1 and P1 S handsets will be available in Australia from April. Keep an eye on Australian T3 for updates regarding pricing and availability.
